Fat Tuesday Pancake Breakfast and Lent

Fat Tuesday, was a real treat for the 2nd graders. They celebrated with a yummy pancake breakfast! 2nd grade mothers were awesome at flipping those pancakes!

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday. Lent last 40 days and we are learning about prayer, sacrifice, and almsgiving (helping those less fortunate). Each student has chosen to "give up" something special or "do" something extra special in preparation for Jesus' Crucifixion. On Easter, we will celebrate the risen Lord. The 1st Annual SJOA Musical Production...

Many of our second graders participated in our first annual school musical dinner theater, The Magical Land of Oz. Mrs. Hatfield and Mrs. Schneider directed the play with our 1st grade through 8th graders. It was amazing! So many of the kids participated on stage, backstage, or running coat check or bake sale.
